Football That Changes The Game for Young People
Game Changer 2026 is a celebration of FootballPlus' year of work with young people through our Champions and Game Changer programmes. It brings together corporate teams, community players, and the families and children at the heart of our mission for a morning of football, connection, and shared purpose.
The event is designed to give every adult participant a first-hand experience of what FootballPlus does and why it matters. Through the Experiential Learning Zone (ELZ), participants connect with the children and the stories behind our programmes. Kids in the U12 and U10 categories play freely, embodying the very mission the event celebrates.
Game Changer is both a fundraiser and a moment of recognition: for the coaches, volunteers, and children who have shown up all year.

• STAY in the Game: a football-based mental wellness initiative for young people
• FootballPlus weekly football: regular training and competitions that keep young people connected and growing

Meet Adam
Adam* is 10. He lives with his family in a 2-room rental flat, 45sqm in size. School hasn’t been easy for him. But every week, Adam shows up: first for study time, then for football training. And on that pitch, he finds mentors, teammates, and a reason to believe in himself.
Through programmes like Champions Unlimited and STAY in the Game, many young people like Adam discover confidence, belonging and hope.
When you play, sponsor or donate at Game Changer, you’re not just funding a football programme. You’re keeping Adam, and hundreds of young people like him, in the game.

1. Enter a Corporate Team ($3,000)
Field a team of colleagues for your one-hour match block against a FootballPlus team.
2. Become an Impact or Legacy Donor
Join as an Impact Donor (from $10,000) or a Legacy Donor (from $50,000).
3. Donate
Can’t field a team? Every contribution counts towards the $350,000 target, and donations of $10 and above are eligible for 250% tax deduction.
Player-led Competition
Game Changer is a player-led competition. From the first whistle to the last, the players are in charge.
Team captains decide who to substitute and when, and every substitute must be used each match. Players record their own scores. Teams nominate the Fair Play award and the Player of the Day. Coaches and parents cheer from the observation zone; sideline instructions are not allowed.
Each match is supported by a youth referee.
